The Left Alliance is represented in the European Parliament’s by SILVIA MODIG (born in 1976) for the period of 2019-2024. Before entering the European Parliament Modig was a Member of the Finnish Parliament from 2011 to 2019 where she served as the vice chair of the Environmental Committee. From 2008-2020 Modig was a City Councillor in Helsinki and prior to entering politics she worked as a journalist.
